the splendour of the Imlil and Azzaden Valley & Dkent Valley

This wonderful three day, two night trek takes you to some of the most scenic areas in the Atlas Mountains. You’ll will walk through Ouirgan and Toubkal national parks, see traditional Berber villages, and take in the splendour of the Imlil and Azzaden Valleys. This trek is great for families with kids, the track is pleasant for mule ride also for walking. The trek can also be extended for travellers who want more challenges.

      DAY 1: MARRAKECH- IMI-OUHJLAD- TINZERT BERBER VILLAGE

      The driver will pick you up from your riad or hotel in Marrakech. After a beautiful scenic hour-and-a-half-long drive from the city, you’ll arrive in Imi Oughlad to meet the team: mules and their handlers, plus your guide. The walk begins by heading tothe berber village of Tinzert. You will walk through a forest of juniper trees. This day is an easier for acclimating to the altitude. The night is spent in a Gite (guesthouse) with toilets, private bedrooms (minimal furnishing), and electricity. 4 hours walking.

      DAY 2:TINZERT - THE VALLEY OF MANY COLORS - AZZADEN.( AIT AISSA VILLAGE)

      After breakfast, head out from the village of Tinzert and cross the Tizi n Taghrekhort riverbed. From this basin, mountains surround and the view is breathtaking. The walk continues through a seriesof villages (Aitharb,Tizian, Tizi-zgaghen and Tahliouine). Overnight accomodations in a Gite in Ait Aissa, which affords a stunning view of the Azzaden Valley, also known as the Valley of Many Colors. 5 hours walking.

      DAY 3:AIT AISSA - TIZI OUSSAM - TIZI-N-MZIK - IMLIL - MARRAKECH
