Itinerary

Day 1 ·  Marrakech / High Atlas Mountains

Your family adventure begins in Marrakech, where you’ll be welcomed by your private driver and tour guide. Leaving the city behind, we travel 1.5 hours into the High Atlas Mountains as busy streets give way to green valleys, traditional villages, and fresh mountain air. After settling into our peaceful, family-friendly guesthouse, the remainder of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the surroundings. In the evening, we gather for a traditional Moroccan dinner—a warm and unhurried beginning to your journey.

Day 2 ·  Imlil / Tizi Mzik Pass / Azib Tamsoult

After a traditional Berber breakfast, we begin our guided family trek through terraced fields and timeless mountain villages. The walk is comfortably paced, allowing time to rest, enjoy the scenery, and meet local families along the way. At Tizi Mzik Pass, set at 2,500 metres, a local chef prepares a gourmet picnic surrounded by sweeping views of the Atlas peaks. We then continue toward Azib Tamsoult, a peaceful summer hamlet at 2,250 metres near beautiful waterfalls. After approximately five hours of hiking, we settle into our cozy guesthouse for dinner and a quiet night in the mountains. (Approx. 5 hours hiking).

Day 3 ·  Azib Tamsoult / Matat

Today we continue through authentic Berber villages, where warm smiles and natural encounters offer a glimpse into daily mountain life. The trail leads beneath juniper trees and across peaceful landscapes, with plenty of time for the family to walk, talk, and enjoy the surroundings together. We pause for lunch in nature before continuing toward Matat, a traditional village set at approximately 1,800 metres. After around five hours of hiking, we arrive at our welcoming guesthouse for a relaxed evening, traditional dinner, and one final night surrounded by the calm of the High Atlas Mountains.

Day 4 ·  Matat / Agafay Desert / Essaouira

Leaving the mountains behind, we travel into the rocky landscapes of the Agafay Desert. Here, your family can enjoy a camel ride, a quad-biking experience adapted to appropriate age and safety requirements, and a traditional tea ceremony inside a Berber tent. It is a playful and relaxed introduction to Morocco’s desert culture. In the afternoon, we continue west toward the Atlantic coast, arriving in Essaouira around sunset. After checking into our charming riad inside the medina, the evening is yours to stroll through the lantern-lit streets and enjoy the refreshing ocean air.

Day 5 ·  Essaouira / Marrakech

After breakfast, we meet our private local guide for a walking tour of Essaouira’s historic medina. We explore the Jewish quarter, old ramparts, fishing port, and artisan streets while discovering the cultures and traditions that have shaped this relaxed coastal town. At the port, we meet an experienced local fisherman who shares stories about life at sea, traditional fishing techniques, seasonal catches, and the different fish found along the Atlantic coast. We then choose fresh fish from the market and have it prepared for lunch at a nearby restaurant—an authentic Essaouira experience. Afterwards, there is free time to visit galleries, walk along the beach, or enjoy the lively harbour. Later, we return to Marrakech and settle into our riad.

Day 6 ·  Marrakech

Today we explore the cultural heart of Marrakech with our private local guide. We visit the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa and elegant Bahia Palace, admire the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, and stroll through the colorful souks. The tour unfolds at a comfortable family pace, allowing time for questions, photographs, and discovery. After lunch at a family-friendly rooftop restaurant, the afternoon is yours to enjoy. Your family may choose a traditional Moroccan hammam, a cooking class, or another activity suited to your interests. The evening is free to continue exploring Marrakech and enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 7 ·  Marrakech (Departure)

Your final morning unfolds slowly, with breakfast and mint tea in the peaceful surroundings of your riad. Depending on your flight time, you may have an opportunity for one last walk through the souks or some final shopping as Marrakech awakens. At the appropriate time, your private driver will transfer your family to Marrakech Menara Airport, concluding a journey filled with shared discovery, meaningful encounters, and unforgettable family memories.
